My partner treated me to a very beautiful meal at the settle for Valentines day. At £33.00 each it was beyond a bargain and a half. This wasn't your standard 3 course meal, it was infact more like a 10 course meal. And every dish positively divine. I will be going back there very soon, I hidden treasure!

This place makes winter worthwhile
They have the nicest roaring log fires here in winter, makes it a pleasure to come in from the cold and plonk yourself down. Popular for tea and cake, although they do full meals as well which - although I'm yet to sample - I've heard good things about. I plan to take my friends who will be visiting from the States here to give them a taste of high quality, delicious and (most importantly for those Yanks) quaint Englishness, old-school stylee.
