The plaques are part of a trail that celebrated Fromes 1300th anniversary in 2000. A very comprehensive leaflet - Frome Town Trail - was available from the Tourist Information Centre for 30p last year before it moved from the roundhouse and I expect is still available now that they're in the library. The walk is 3 miles long and should take about 1 1/2 hours.
The Via Crucis carvings are a bit special aren't they? Is there some sort of history trail for the town anywhere? The stone is such a good colour in the sun.
