We've just returned after spending a week in the charming village of Nunney in Somerset. We stayed at The George at Nunney. The bedroom was very nice indeed, at night its quiet, and the bed was very comfortable. The bathroom was clean and well appointed and the shower was like a power shower! We ate in the restaurant 4 times and I have to say the food is some of the best I’ve ever had. The young staff were very well trained, and provided a excellent service. We really felt at home here. The village of Nunney is one of Somersets hidden treasures. A small brook runs through the village, and Nunney Castle stands directly in front of the hotel. This 12th century castle is extremely well preserved and a real sight to behold. There is a cafe and local shop as well as some great walks we discovered through the local countryside. All in all, the George is a great hotel/pub in a beautiful village in Somerset.

Set in the tranquil Nunney village, The George is the perfect location for a relaxing break. The food was exceptional and the staff were pleasant and attentive. Nunney is a lovely place with the ruins of Nunney Castle and the countryside nearby. Clean and charming I would come back here again.
