The Royal Photographic Society is the foremost Photographic Society in the world. It was founded in 1853 when photography was in its infancy, and has been a leading force in its advancement ever since. The International Print Exhibition is the longest standing exhibition of its kind, having been staged almost every year since The Society’s formation.
The Exhibition showcases a wide range of genres and styles of photography, with cutting-edge prints being shown alongside traditional work - from the artistic to documentary, from portraiture to natural history. This has ensured that it is unique within the photographic world.
The Society invites professional, student and amateur photographers worldwide to submit their work for consideration for the Exhibition. The prints are selected by a panel of 5 well-qualified photographers from differing backgrounds and opinions.
This is the first time this exhibition has visited Frome and Rook Lane are delivering a series of related workshops and events for the local community with professional photographers in conjunction with the exhibition.
