Open Tuesday to Friday 10am to 3pm and Saturday 10am to 12 noon for bookings by telephone or in person.
In the evenings the box office will be open one hour before the performance and accepts most major credit, debit cards and Cheques.

Great community theatre and facility

I visited the Merlin Theatre for the first time as well recently. My experiences were very similar to the above reviewer. Aside from the lack of space around the bar (and some very pushy people) I thought it was a lovely theater - comfortable and with a real sense of community. The Merlin bit must be because the parking had all magically disappeared (boom crash) - unfortunately there was a sports event on at the college at the same time and it was all a bit hectic. The bottom line is though that many community facilities are unused and neglected. Not so with the Merlin Theatre: This place is not only a great facility that Frome can be proud of, but for someone like me coming from outside of Frome, it represents the town well, acting almost as an ambassador for Frome's community spirit and cultural drive. A recommended visit, and no mistake!

    Great Little Theatre

       

    Friday night was the first time I'd visited the Merlin Theatre(for the Mark Thomas show). It's a great little theatre (240 seats), with a friendly atmosphere and a decent (easily viewable) stage for the size of the venue. A nice little community venue, stewarded by volunteers. Foyer was a bit small and crowded before the show and at the interval and felt a little claustrophobic, but I liked the place and will be hopefully making a return visit soon as there are a wide range of shows and productions on the cards.
