SOMERSET MUM OF TWO ANNOUNCED AS 'BEST MAD AWARDS FOOD BLOG WINNER'

Brabantia, proud to be sponsoring the Best MAD Food Blog category that celebrates brilliant family cooking, is delighted to announce the winner has been revealed in the third annual MAD Blog Awards - the best British Mummy and Daddy blogs. And a mum of two from Somerset has been announced as the winner!                                                                                                                   More than 50,000 nominations were received in the awards, making the MADs the biggest awards for parent bloggers in the UK, but just 70 finalists were invited to attend the gala awards ceremony held in London on 28 September.

Crowned winner of the Best Food Blog was Vanesther Rees from Bangers and Mash.  A working mother on a mission to cook good family food on a budget without compromising on quality. She said: "I am absolutely thrilled to bits to have won the award for best food blog in this year's MADs. I was really surprised when my name was announced, as I was up against some tough competition. 

"It's such a great feeling to know that people like what I write on Bangers & Mash and are enjoying my recipes for good family food that won't break the bank. I'm also really looking forward to receiving some stylish Brabantia homeware as part of my prize – I'll end up spending even more time in the kitchen as a result!"

The other finalists in the Best MAD Food Blog Category were:

Maison Cupcake - self taught baker and author of 'Bake Me I'm Yours'. Jam packed with sweet treats from impressive patisserie to fun baking with kids.

Relentless Laundry - an honest account of family life with regular dose of recipes with unusual titles: ''Quichey Pie Thing'.
