Just under 500 people went along to have a first look around the multi-million pound health centre last Saturday.

The centre, which is situated next to the Frome Community Hospital, in Enos Way, Frome, officially opened for patients on Thursday, December 27.

The open day was a chance for anyone who wanted to have a look at the new building and the services it provides.

Guided tours were given and practice manager, Michael Whitburn, who said the centre was very well received.

He said: "We were really pleased with how it went, despite the weather, which was quite awful.

"We had some great feedback and people were able to raise any concerns they had, which we will look into over the coming weeks.

"We wanted to be fully operational from day one and are working closely with the Royal United Hospital, in Bath to deliver more services locally."

For information and appointments visit the centre's website www.fromemedical practice.co.uk.
