Staff and visitors at the award-winning Frome Care Village have raised more than £320 to enable residents to enjoy fun days out to the beach. The car boot sales, which have taken place across the summer, has raised £322.39 thanks to the generosity of staff, friends and relatives who were up at the crack of dawn most weekends to help raise the vital funds. The residents will now be able to enjoy trips out of the care village to places like the seaside where they can enjoy cream teas and ice cream. Items such as clothes, household items and bric-a-brack were sold to the public as well as refreshments. Care Village manager, Jill Holmes, told us: "I am so pleased that everyone came together to help raise the money for our residents. "Luckily we have had some great weather so the car boot sales have been very successful." The Care Village is popular with local healthcare professionals and is registered for 60 nursing beds. Its 24 hour care team specialise in dementia and use a bespoke care planning tool to provide individualised care plans for all residents.
